Programs Held at Co-operators Centre

1st Annual Regina Ringette Association Summer Skills Camp RRA is proud to present its first ever ringette skills camp! This camp is intended for athletes in the U12 and U14 divisions for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. It will focus on teaching skating and ring skills to athletes to prepare them for the upcoming season and will feature 11 on ice sessions that include:
Extensive power skating and agility techniques 
Laser like forehand, backhand, lead and saucer passing 
Defensive domination including body position, channelling and checking 
Explosive offense including sniper shooting, deking and driving to the net FUN!!!

All on ice sessions will utilize the entire ice surface by breaking into small groups of 5-6 athletes and running separate stations throughout the hour. Each station will be lead by an individual instructor that will focus attentions on perfecting a skill first, then increasing the speed at which in can be completed. Small groups ensure that each athlete receives the individual attention that they need to develop critical ringette skills. The camp will wind up with an exhibition ringette game being played among the athletes!

Camp Dates: (All ice times are at the Cooperators Centre)
Aug. 1, 2, 7, 9, 14, 16 – 5:45 to 6:45
Aug. 20 – 6:45 to 7:45, Aug. 23 – 6:30 to 7:30,
Aug. 26 – 6:45 to 7:45, Aug. 27 – 8:15 to 9:15
Sept. 3 – 6:00 to 7:00 – GAME NIGHT!!
