Saskatchewan Tourism Business of the Year

In 2007, Evraz Place was named Tourism Saskatchewan’s Business of The Year (Over 50 Employees). The category was for those businesses that had more than 50 employees; had demonstrated allaround excellence; and was a model for best practices in the industry, resulting in strong growth and/or a record of success. The organization must also have shown commitment to human resource development, community involvement and leadership and been recognized as a strong partner in tourism and for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Canadian Agri-Marketing Association - CAMA Award

The 2007 Western Canada Farm Progress Show was honored with seven awards – five “Awards of Excellence” (winners) and two “Awards of Merit” (runners-up) by the Canadian Agri-Marketing Association (CAMA). CAMA is a network of agricultural marketing professionals located in five Canadian provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec). The organization holds an annual awards ceremony recognizing marketing achievements in agricultural products, services and programs.

Of the seven awards received, Farm Show took “Best of Show – Marketing & Advertising Campaigns”, the top award handed out by CAMA. It recognizes the overall marketing achievements of an entire advertising campaign prepared and implemented within the past year. Competition in this category would have included several high-profile agricultural advertising agencies in Canada so this was a significant achievement for the show, as all of its marketing is done in-house by Evraz Place staff.
